The StairSafe system consists of a small module installed in your Acorn Stairlift which monitors the location, journey, and usage. All this data feeds back to StairSafe HQ, where if an error is detected, we'll notify you. StairSafe can ease some worries about safety and the possibility of having to pay for maintenance.

Can you shorten a curved stairlift?
Most Acorn stairlift rails can be shortened, but this must be done by an Acorn-approved technician.
Do curved stairlifts move at a fast speed?
The maximum rated speed is 0.15 meters per second (0.34 mph) to ensure safety while riding.
Can a stairlift go around corners?
Here at Acorn Stairlifts, we manufacture stairlifts that can travel around corners, spiral staircases, and across landings. Our stairlifts are customised to fit each individual staircase.
How long does it take to install a curved stairlift?
1 to 2 hours is the typical time that it takes to install a straight Acorn stairlift. However, with a more complex installation for a curved staircase, it can take about 4 to 5 hours. You will be guided through the simple controls of your Acorn stairlift by the technician after installation.
